My portfolio as of 11/6/2015: I lost a little bit of ground this week. Within a couple hours of my posting that Natural Gas futures didn't rally with Crude Oil, they perked up..... The traders in Natural Gas seem to be pretty short term.

I decided to go all in on DGAZ today, and I was filled at $12.68 My sell stop triggered and I was closed out at $11.57 this morning. Back to my original position..... It is difficult to get positions started with Natural Gas. It seems like a lot of the moves happen outside of stock exchange hours, making exchange traded fund stops less effective.

I'm not sure if the original post about this trade is even at this forum or not. A long time ago I bought a stock called WZE. It merged in to FU and there was a spinoff dividend of stock FUTU. I sold my shares at breakeven, and kept the spinoff shares FUTU as a lottery ticket of sorts. There was supposed be another merger and spinoff this fall, but that fell through. Well anyway, I'm sure it doesn't matter to anyone, but I sold my lottery tickets today for a whopping $0.15 each. $29 after commissions..... Barely worth typing about.

Bankedout was following DGAZ. I hope he's still in it! These last few days it's gone parabolic. It looks like in the last 8 trading days DGAZ went from about $17 to $28.30 today. I think that's about a 66% gain in 8 days. Three months ago it was about $6. A better than 400% gain in 3 months.
Great call bankedout!!

I would hope he took profits last week- Trading the leveraged funds with real $$$for a longer term hold - If you catch it right- the ride up can be swift- and even faster on the way down. Having the stomach and resources to hold through that kind of volatility is an act of faith.
Banked out had always been a willing contributor- and ethical in his postings.
Perhaps he will choose to rejoin at some point- Perhaps he will prioritize his life in other directions.
His decision to leave this forum and trading - will be missed.
Merry Christmas Jim- We wish you Well!
