I closed both of my open positions today. I haven't been watching them, and they have not been moving in the right direction. Back to cash for now.   |

I opened a position in NUS today. I'm following some of my Uncle's stocks to try and learn from him. He has been investing for decades and has done quite well.

Hi Bankedout!
What criteria does he use to select from different stocks?
I would assume he Is a long term investor?
Have the changes in the market this past decade caused him to modify his investing?
At what point would he- or you - elect to sell ?

I added HITK this morning.
My Uncle uses a combination of technical analysis and fundamental analysis. He purchased these stocks previously, so I'm just picking through his holdings.
I'll let you know when I sell and for what reason.

This morning I added a half position of HLF. Now my IRA account is fully invested in stocks.

I sold SPPI along with my Uncle, his reason being it was not performing well compared to other Biotech stocks. I used the proceeds to buy RIC.

I sold HUM along with my Uncle today. He said he was raising cash and selling off some of his slow growers or stocks which he felt had made their peak. He expects the market to trade lower for the next month or two.

Of course . Ben spoke today and assured the markets that money will be available, the dollar declined, and Health care stocks were the #1 mover today as the Obama healthcare plan is under debate- No telling whether this gets any traction in the day's ahead.SD

RIC was sold today. The proceeds from HUM & RIC went to purchase CMI.
