Let me introduce myself, I am Scott, a ProBoards Support Admin. Please excuse the intrusion in to your forum, however this seemed to be the best way to address the issue at hand.
First let me offer my condolences on the passing of the forum owner "DG" (Darrell Gross). It is always sad to learn that a member of our community, our ProBoards family, has passed. We were contacted by your member tiarra ( link to Support thread ) out of concern for your forum, your close group of members to continue without the presence of an administrative leader.
Previous policy was that forums were subject to inheritance laws and so the fate of a forum would be up to the next of kin unless the forum owner made other arrangements. However recently it has been legally clarified that in the absence of "forum final wishes" as you will, that the forum itself reverts back to ProBoards, Inc. to make the determination regarding the direction of the forum and the assignment of any Forum Admin(s).
To this end, we like to research what would be the "intent" of the forum creator in assigning a successor. We look at Member Group Status, length of forum membership, forum activity, etc. Normally we do not reach out in a broad manner such as I am doing today, however the two top candidates: bankedout and sd have stated in this thread that currently their focus is elsewhere.
So... I am here to basically poll the membership as if you want this forum to continue and if so, is there a nominated new owner? Or a volunteer? Or a consensus of who the new forum owner should be? And of course if bankedout or sd have reconsidered and would like to take over, that is fine as well.
I invite all members to please post back here in this thread with your thoughts, and I will check back here in a couple days to see where we're all at. If you need to reach me in the meantime, feel free to PM my account here (I've set up PM notifications) or on the Support Forum either via PM or the support thread tiarra created.
Again I am sorry for your loss and wish you all well.
Scott
