aha! success! Now the question is what hosting sites will proboards honor this way? I am told that photobucket works.

Just trying out the photobucket image thing. I like this site better than the freeweb because it keeps me logged in between visits.

BANKEDOUT: Interesting. For me freewebs keeps me logged in constantly. But yes, you can select to be permanently logged in here at this site.
SD: I see you are still having problems at photobucket.

SD: I tried your image over at freewebs as a c&p link in the address bar and saw it okay that way. Perhaps the reason it doesn't show there or here has to do with it being too big pixtel wise. Since it is a composite of graph and side text, you might try breaking it in two. My theory is that you are trying to post more image than allowed at either website.

I see that like me your link copy missed the left command bracket. I will add the left bracket and retry your image test here:

Well, well, well. Seems like your missing left bracket was all you needed at this site. Unfortunately that doesn't cure your problem at the other site, because I tried your url with the image icon there and it didn't work -- so perhaps your image is too big for there, but works fine here.

I struggle with this computer stuff guys. It truly stretches my limits.... It took some hand-holding for you guys to teach me how to import photos way back when @ msn. Likely will be the same here. It will likely not be until the weekend until I have the time to attempt it again...it's like trying a plumbing project around the house- should be straight-forward, but never is. As for file size, I usually save all my photos/charts I post as GIF files- Since proboards is the selected site you prefer, and you were able to include the chart I was trying, I assume the GIF file will work here, and my chart sizes are rather large I guess- but that worked as well. It would likely be helpful for me and others devoid of basic computer language skills- if there was a thread on how to include images step by step- For example- the missing left bracket- I recall years past having a formula that allowed me to include charts in posts at CS- Brackets, HREF etc. All alien stuff.....I retain little it seems, unless it's written and clearly spelled out In Reply #3 - I apparently opened a hosting account at PHOTOBUCKET, took a test photo/chart of PGJ from my computer, saved it there, and then .........what happened? Your reply was I hadn't included the left command bracket- which I assume should have been just before the first letters IMG. Copying the command function from reply #3 in this thread without the bracket: Trying photobucket copying the IMG box-SD IMG]http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo126/sowterdad/Stock%20photos/PGJTradeNotes10-13-gif-1.gif[/IMG] I'm copying the above formula, and I'll be putting a bracket before the IMG letters, and then abra-cadabra, an image should be included here :

Wow, That actually works! Now I just have to remember what I did @ photbucket to begin with- A weekend project I'm sure! Now, do we have a timing strategy or sim thread here?SD
