MRAM,MD, XBI up nicely midday, - GLYC up 3.5% higher...hope to see it catch some real upside momentum....
SONC lower and declining,AAOI dipping lower after a doji yesterday; IBM holding higher in a step up base- prior bullish action 6.12 pulled back into a higher base- looks to be promising if this higher base holds. WLTW pushed lower earlier, holding back higher at the open price- looks bullish for a continued trend higher if it closes at or above the open...Have to consider the morning spike down was absorbeb by willing buyers. CCL appears to be in a stronger uptrend than the other 2- today taking a breather- yesterday's close a higher high than 6-1 -Notice the uptrend slope is increasing, with higher lows as well.

Spiderman's pick this week has jumped out ! It has gained 100%- a double- in 5 weeks! A lot of volatility comes with this type of momentum- Notice the large spikes in June both had 20% pullbacks- more than some of us could stomach- Price closed near the high $21.90- HMM - It is not too extended from the EMA today- Is there a chance for another 10% move higher tomorrow? How about a limit sell of 1/2 @ $21.90 + $2.00? = $23.90 That would be a quick gain from Monday's entry- Combine that with a stop-loss to lock in the entry... + a small profit-just in case. Either way- Thanks Spiderman! Momentum lives!

biotech surging, Just caught this before the close- selling 1/3 positions MRAM,VRTX,XBI, holding the rest... Locks in some initial early gains over 5%+, and still allows the trade room to run higher-with a 2/3 position- I will also try to set some higher limit sells for 1/3 on each position-in case of a big 20% spike high- AAOI is making a nice sideways base- but needs to turn up with a rising fast ema-above 65 IMO

Hi Blygh, I think there's a calculation issue with my % increase for the week. MRAM opened on Monday @ 19.10 and now is up to 22.55 which is 18%. Can you check? Thanks, Spiderman

Price volatility- Chart of CCL taken 20 minutes into the open- We cannot tell where this may end the day, but it's a good example of price volatility occurring in just a few minutes- price fluctuating Higher and lower. Note that anyone with a tight trailing stop would have been "stopped out" at the push down, to see price back near the open and above the fast ema- Cannot always trust what you see intraday,-and hard not to react to that in real time if one had a position that looked to be giving back the recent gains!

Sorry if I made an error - I will check - I will take FSLR at the close with a stop loss of 37.35 Limit 41. IF DT builds his 10 array wide 2000 mile long solar panels - demand will soar.
Blygh I checked the Yahoo expanded chart. It does indeed show a price of 19.10. at 9:30 6/19. I believe I took opening prices from the Yahoo Finance site. It might reflect a difference between an asked price and a trade (the WSJ shows the 9:30 6/19 price as 19.93) - SD (or anyone else who wants to), will you take a look and make a determination? With high frequency traders, thousands of shares can be traded in nano seconds at different prices. I edited the Thurs tote board - I did make a transcription error on your gain Blygh

I think it's your call Blygh as to which site you refer to for open and closing prices- You're doing the work- and most times I think YHOO agrees with stockcharts- Also correct is that trade values can vary in a nano second at the open- FWIW- Stockcharts.com lists the Open at $19.10 both on the daily chart and the 5 minute chart on Monday- That said, Racers can certainly point out any diferences they think they see, and it can be checked against other quote sites- What quote sites do the brokerages use? What does the Nasdaq site post ?- I've never looked, and I argued with my broker once years ago on a trade that was way off- never saw it reflected at all on stockcharts Might have been a mini flash that took me out at that time.....I think the yhoo Historical works as a reference
