I bought some AAOI this am. I had 2 orders premarket- a limit at $49 within the consolidation, 2/3 of a position; and a buy-stop for 1/3 if price went higher .
Price broke higher-filled at $50.44; I elected to add to get a full order and purchased 2nd group 51.61. Earnings are May 4
Ita put in a sell day on Friday, came back to the fast 4 ema, I raised my stop to the low, was stopped out $153.46 today.
Update- AAOI has now become a potential losing trade- (5.3.17) It had started to trend a bit to the upside- but Yesterday dropped a close back lower , and today dropped still lower.
I just read Zacks listing AAOI as 1 of the 5 best tech stocks for this year - we'll see- Holding 45 shares - so i will split the stops - 25 @ today's low $45, and the remaining 20
I will hold down to $42.75. Give that Nag a prod IRA and get er back on course! I'm holding this with a wider stop than "normal "

Blygh, I selected UNT long this week early Sunday morning but it appears my selection never made it.
I looked back and my reply wasn't there. I guess I have my default pick this week.

Thanks IRA for giving AAOI the Whip! it is up 17% from yesterday! I was fortunate that my bit wider stops held! EXAS is cranking as well!And SHOP all moving higher!
I repurchased ITA on the upmove after a few days of decline. The recent swing down to the 20 ema 152 now represents a relatively tight stop at yesterday's reversal low.
Low % risk on this - don't expect any rocketship here- but ideally today's move closes the weekly at a new high- Good way to get exposure to the sector-That initial decline made me bail, but back in with expectations that it starts to trend from here, and not simply base- Check out the weekly as well as the daily...
Added today to BOTZ, repurchasing TQQQ today - a 2x leveraged exposure to Tech - I sold (stopped out by a few pennies this week... on this week's weakness, break of trend based simply on the very fast 3 ema ; Getting back in here as price is making a slightly higher base positions me for a possible break move higher- resumption of the uptrend- also gives me the option to reset and reevaluate the chart- With present price -I just bought @ 98, and well above the 10 ema , I think a stop risking about 3% and at $95.00 puts it just below the 10 ema and allows price some room to swing wider here- 30 shares- $3 Risk= $90 / $2938 = 3% +; added some SHOP- $85.50 and looking at Europe-OEUH value fund.Bought some ARGT-
And buying some Europe value OEUH
My pick for the horse race next week at today's close will be ARGT with a stop at $29.00
