with this ability, I am now being swayed towards proboards as the choice for dg's market timers replacement website.

I like proboards better than freeweb.
It might be easier just to take a screenshot of your portfolio that you use to track the horse race and post that screenshot here instead of doing that matrix.
MSN has decent portfolios for free that I have used as screenshots when you were absent.

How do you get to portfolios in msn? I have been using those in prophet.net -- but when my subscription runs out next spring I will not renew (they now want $450/yr). Of course any screen shot requires additional photobucket image storage. I don't know what the limit is there.
With the table matrix, we have no limit and can preserve all future day results. If we have to use images, then we may have to continually erase day results and only preserve week results for only a limited period of time.
BTW, the only thing I like better at freeboards is the front page. I would like to get rd's msn header gif on top of the home page here; and I would like to stick the horse race honor roll there too. Here, I don't think either is possible. Both were possible at freeboards.
I hate to admit it, but msn was the best overall design -- despite its many problems. This exercise has definitely convinced me of that.

Here is the link to MSN portolios: moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolioYou will have to play with the Change Portfolio View section to display the columns you want. When I used it for horse races I used: Symbol Memo Cost Basis Last Price TR All In the memo field, I inserted the rider's name. I agree that MSN had the best overall design. That is too bad. I also agree that freeweb allows more of a customized look. These decisions are never easy.
