I just received a spam email to a russian website. Since it was from you and addressed to what I presume is your email list of contacts, you must have had your list taken by some kind of cookie or pfishing trojan. Here is a picture of what I received(attached). It may have my list now too because I clicked the link. (time for a cookie deletion and scan) Attachments:

Yes, I apologize for any inconvenience. I saw it was sent to Bankedout- too as well as every list of names in my computer.e-mail. I had to shut down my windows firewall and then my AVG anti-virus this weekend because my h&R taxcut software couldn't get through and make an internet connection. I forgot to reenable windows firewall. I didn't think about it , I only went to a few trusted sites this weekend, and never downloaded anything. This am @ work I received an e-mail from Sowterdad@hotmail that was sent out from my home computor after I was at work. I clicked the link and found out it was supposedly from a "Canadian Health " selling male medicines- How did you know it was a russian website? Suppose they're trying to get credit card info from the unsuspecting?
I've sent out apology e-mails to those that were included in the additional mails sent to me at work and again at home where a different group of names had shown up-, and made phone calls to those I had a # for telling them not to open. I suspect it will attach and use every e-mail address box it gets access to.
I'm activated my firewall (Horse is out) and am presently running a complete virus scan as well. AVG (www.grisoft.com) has a 30 day free trial to their internet security suite- which includes anti-virus, e-mail, site monitoring, firewall etc. Which I just downloaded and installed . At present I'm running a complete virus scan, but nothing has been detected. Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience. If you don't have up to date protection, use the free trial version of AVG's internet security. Let me know how it works out - SD

Supposedly I have all that protection via norton internet security. I also did a scan and deleted all temp files and cookies. Fortunately I have few friends files due to the relatively new computer; but time will tell.
As to russian, the menu at left when I went into their site was in russian. I studied russian in college so I knew what I was seeing. You probably saw it too, but it didn't register.
My scans found nothing.

I hope your computer is clear. I installed AVG internet security yesterday pm, and scanned my computer - and I have Norton on my work computer and it did not block it, and oddly enough it got rejected by our company's server program as it tried to send to fellow employees, but it was still able to get through to mine. It also sent out new mails today..... so I'll continue to run updated scans.
Lesson learned here, I will continue to keep my anti-virus software in place- and will likely purchase the AVG software following the trial- SD

I believe the rogue e-mail program is still at work as of Friday, despite a new Internet security program installed. and so I have deleted all contact information from my e-mail- Hope the darn thing starves and goes away- SD

Yes, Thanks- I just finished running a full scan using Malwarebytes and it found 34 adware infections- I'm also going to run a "rootkit" scan- Apparently some of these programs can cloak themselves, and a rootkit scan will remove the cloak and allow the hidden program to be identified and removed.
