Stock chart's Arthur Hill does a "On Trend" video backtesting the past 25 year history performance of the $SPX and backtests various exit strategies- and concludes that "Go Away in May" should be delayed until June- 30 minute video well worth viewing if one considers seasonality and some market timing - and alternately using TLT as a go-to investment- Good content at Stockcharts.

Good morning Blygh,
The totals for Win, Place and Show are not correct.
Looks like something happened in week 17.
Year to date I should have 5 wins. IRA should have 1 Show and Blygh should have 3 Places and 4 Shows SPY should have 6 Places and 7 Shows.
All the others are correct.
Just an observation.

See Ira's post in this thread - YTD "WIN PLACE SHOW" table corrected on that basis.  I don't see where "SPY gets 6 places and 7 shows " - Have you added the the results for QQQ?

Next week I'll ride CODA long.

Congrats Spidey! Your horse is hard to beat. A great pick giving you lots of wins!

Making picks based on high SCTR has tended to give me big, solid companies with steady but fairly slow growth. They look like great investments, but not enough weekly growth to win the horse race.

I'll make a race inside a race. I'll ride CODA as my pick this week, a small fast grower. If I was to ride a high SCTR pick, I'd go with CDNS. We'll see which of these beats the other, the small fast CODA, or the bigger, steadier CDNS. But for purpose of our horse race, my pick is CODA.
