What is pushing the sell-off 1) the Fed raising interest rates  2) an anticipated Democratic victory  3) Insurance companies selling stocks to raise capital to pay hurricane Michael claims  4) 401k holders selling stocks to make mandatory minimum withdrawals 5) a reversion to the mean after the Trump bump.  6) The spread of emerging market weakness 
7) Too strong dollar leading to worsening trade deficit. 8) The insustainabiliy of deficit spending ($1.28 trillion) this year. 9) China weakness 10) European weakness.

Next week VIXY short, stop @ 38

Congrats RD! I suspect the worst is over in the near term. We may have some more selling, but I don't think the volatility and selling will accelerate from here. VIXY usually has short lived spikes. By the end of the week things should be calming down. That's what I'm banking on here.

I'll be interested to see what SD's pick, CORI, does this week. That's one of the most unusual charts I've seen. Good luck! -ira
