Congrats Ira - next week MDR stop 21
I was thinking about the "no leveraged ETFs rule." We could allow them if we divided the gains/losses by the target multiple -e.g. SOXL ams at tripling the semiconductor index - a rider could choose it but the results would be divided by three - DTO shorts oil but aims at doubling the return of shorting USO - the results would be divided by 2. Thoughts ?? Blygh

Two thoughts.
One. Why do we need it? Aren't there un-leveraged products to meet almost any need?
Two. I think the game, the horse race, is fundamentally more real, has more integrity, by using real financial products. We are tracking our results of buying and selling real securities. I think we could lose some of that integrity/reality by using leveraged securities in a way that doesn't exist in the real world.
Other ideas? -ira
