When I saw RKDA with a big loss I had a sinking feeling. Did I forget to mark it "RKDA short?" I checked my pick on the last page of last week's results. I feel better. I did pick RKDA short, thank goodness. The stop @ 17 makes a lot more sense that way. -ira
By gosh by golly you be right - sorry about that - your messages appear in 3 pt font - a wee bit small for my tired old eyes

About the only positives I see these days is that I'm accumulating some added shares via dividend accumulation in some of the funds I'm long- Don't know if this will be a month -that the adage comes true for May- but I'm strapped in and believing that despite all the pol. rhetoric- when the smoke clears we will have another year of market gains when we close 2018. Of course- when we are at a top in average corporate earnings for the past 10 years- it's got to be time to drink the Peter Schiff whine (wine) and go all into Gold. Speaking of Peter Schiff- Is he still around? And Dr. Doom- Eventually, they will find something to hang their hat on- but will it be this year??? What is the downside at Risk if things are indeed moving on a global scale? Any year can easily see a -10% move -
While the naysayers find all the reasons to see the glass half full - and CNBC seems to focus on searching for that last straw- Could it even be remotely possible that some of the policies- and tax initiatives that this administration has brought forth be exactly what this nation needed to boost it's economy, it's confidence, and restore some American Spirit- that the future is Brighter than the past- and our best days are still ahead- That goes against the status quo- and the path we were on with the prior administration in office. With unemployment reaching a decade low, and profits up- naysayers have to reach for the potential negatives- inflation- wage pressures, 10 year rate.... All talking points that don't include the beneficial effects of "Full Employment" Full Profits etc. And- what about the Global economy? When i think about all of the dismal crisis-es we have faced that spun the market into a turmoil for a while- Anyone remember the Greece default? How about the funding of the USA debt? That's a regular hot potato, Korea firing off missles, Russia in the middle east- Oil embargoes, Wars, and yet we are still trucking on-Somehow, the world is continuing to evolve- despite all of the noise.....
