Everyone but me is long in August with new highs- hmmmm -  Re last week - I thought I smelled something going in with COL - up $8.50 this AM on take-over offer -  Tiarra's default pick -ETSY- up 12% on Fri.  Short covering on SNAP boosting price (SD's bet).  ZYNE down big time

Etsy beat earnings nicely

Premarket pricing looks to be seeking some profits- with bids below Friday's close-
With potential profit takers on the Friday move, trying a lower limit on a few shares at the open



Playing at Daytrading while some rain showers pass by
Etsy moved higher , pulled back, trying to go back higher-
I set a buy-stop limit above the $15.70 high to see if that becomes a resistance level or if price has more upside strength



At 11:00 am , price has been pulling back- Interesting exercise here-
Price is generally declining from the open high- but well above the prior resistance range from the prior day
a new limit $15.30 is $.05 above yesterday's range high. This could be considered a retest--
I think i want to own a small position in this- so i will end up purchasing at some point before the market close-
In the meantime, it's interesting to view it on a fast 3 minute chart-

11:30- higher swing low and challenge of the recent swing high-

@ 2pm price was ranging slightly lower


watching for signs of strength going into the close-

Noticed the turn in price from oversold- and -granted there was a big volume bar that occurred-at 3:15 and again at 3:40 - forecasting a potential buying interest-
The limit order I had set was an arbitrary price limit-No methodology there, simply looking for a fill on a price retest, closer to the point of Failure-
and coincidentally price came with $.02 of that price- I had already decided I would take a position in Etsy today- particularly if i could get a fill below the opening high-
So, it was a fun day checking in on this periodically on fast time frame glances. Price often gets bigger moves at the close- and this faster time frame view was interesting to follow-
I'm not at all concerned that I paid $.17 higher on the fill from my limit- Bodes well for Tiarra's default in this weeks race.




8.9.17 UPDATE-
Yesterday, Trumps remarks " Fire and Fury" caused a market decline in all the indexes- Many stocks/ETF's gapped down lower at today's open- Including Etsy-
Panicked sellers stopped out or bailed thinking the Sky is Falling- or jumped into short positions-
Here at the market close , the markets have recovered much of the initial sell-off.
Etsy made a remarkable recovery-including the chart as a follow up of the prior day-trade charts.

Seems like it's improbable that the market can continue making new highs- but I keep hearing the rationale that the market is pricey -yes- but on a valuations against expected future earnings- perhaps not so overvalued-Isn't that what is said near every Peak? Even saw one all cash bear on CNBC today that is stepping back into the market-
Cramers projecting COL could go for $140.00- Fast money traders suggest selling it here and take the profits. Cramer also singing the praises of the FANG - and with hindsight suggests that if one only applied the right metrics of projected future earnings a year or two ago, their PE seemed pricey back then as well- and look where they are today....
and he recommends purchasing on a pullback.....
I am back Long - despite getting bit some the prior week- and knowing that this is a seasonally weak time to be in the markets-

" FIRE and FURY " comment took the wind from the sails. Where we go today as the market evaluates this increase in rhetoric and the nuclear risk in Korea...?
While futures indicate a lower open- how today ends should tell the bigger story. I would think this would be a plus for the defense sector..

Its a excuse to take profits, if it wasn't lil Kim it would have been something else. I think the markets ended pretty well considering... I have not been watching that closely this week but no escape from headlines like this. GL!

You certainly timed that Well! You're not the one prompting Trump to pour fuel on the Fire are you?
Snap did not please the market in the after-hours earnings report, so there goes that wildcard!
This little market pullback seems to have some persistence- Well, It is August, and September follows- Historical similarities in efect?

I see mid day Friday that ZROZ is up, and ETSY- which never broke lower during the fIRE AND FURY sell-off this week has broken up higher.
Friday Trump says that the US is "Locked and Loaded" . Markets are staging a small recovery today -Friday-mid day
