I think there is something we can call a "sense of the market"  - right now optimism has given away to confusion.  Investors have placed their bets and the market croupier is about to spin the roulette wheel.  I think the smart money is selling and taking profits - I have been following mortgage reits PMT NYMT DX MFA OAKS ORC IVR CYS CMO AHN NLY - Buying short term to capture dividends (which are running around 10 %  annual) - I suspect industries with low elasticity of demand will do well after a sell off in May.   Drugs- Health care facilities  - medical equipment  - (IHE IHF IHI) - I am bearish on materials - consumer discretionary - autos - energy - financials - alternative energy -  neutral on energy - defense aerospace - technology

We'll have to see if the "Go Away In May" comes to pass as prudent - A/D is in negative territory. Appears to be valid about 50% of the time over the past 10 years - We're certainly long in the tooth in this bull mkt. and I agree that there is a lot of 'confusion' and indecision.
I would think Healthcare remains an undecided issue-Economy? we'll see....
Defense? We'll see if the sector gets a bounce -Trump has reorganized his advisers and reinstated some past military advisers-

I appreciate the condolences for my poor lame, ailing horse last week. It was a high flier and more vulnerable than I realized. But now what? There was no bad news last week on this specific company. It's a rapidly growing small tech company. Forward PE is 12. Revenues and earning growing rapidly. Debt very manageable. I don't know why it went down. Unless some bad news comes out the market just may see this as a chance to buy a high growth company for peanuts. I realize the Warren Buffet quote is true. After a 20% loss, I'll have to get a 25% gain to get back to even. But this little pony may have a shot at making that kind of gain. With strong fundamentals maybe we'll see a short squeeze.
