Gold had previously pushed out of it's 3 year channel, and it was a momentum move. this week lots has been made of the sell-off of gold, but it has just dropped back into the weekly channel- should retest the low side of the channel $150.00. The way to profit from the gold decline is with the leveraged Gold short DZZ. since DZZ is around $5, keep in mind that a $.50 move is 10%- both up and down.

My current ETF watch lists are: General: DIA, EEM, EWX, HDGE, MDY, QQQ, SPY Physical Commodities: IAU, PALL, PPLT, SLV Commodity Related: ALUM, COPX, CROP, CUT, FCG, GDXJ, IOIL, KOL, LIT, NLR, PIO, PLTM, REMX, SIL, SLX, SOIL Countries: BRF, EGPT, EPHE, GERJ, HAO, IDX, IWM, MEXS, RSXJ, SCIF, SCJ, THD, TUR, VNM Industries: FAN, GRID, PXN, PZD, TAN In the General category I mostly watch to see how broader indices are doing. I do plan to trade some of these if the charts look right to me. Physical Commodities are supposedly representative of the actual metal and shouldn't suffer from future's based contango etc. Some people believe the metals truly are not in the vaults, I'm not sure so I wouldn't use them for long term holds. Commodity Related are funds which hold stocks that have strong ties to the commodity named. They will not go up and down the same as owning the physical commodity or futures contract, but over time they generally head in a similar direction as the commodity they are tied to. Countries is based on World Population which I got here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population I took the top 20 countries. Some of them did not have an ETF so I had to skip them. When possible I used the small cap version. Industries are funds which hold stocks that are related to the name of the fund. I selected these because I think they all have themes that will play out in the coming years and could provide good volatility and trading opportunities at times. Some are thinly traded, and are not appropriate for short term trading.
